At Last... A Scheduling School

Harvesting Apprentice Schedulers

There is a worldwide shortage of qualified construction schedulers. ICS-Institute is doing something about that. We are about to launch Boot Camp dedicated to construction scheduling. Our goal is to produce competent, capable, knowledgeable Apprentice Schedulers.

The program lasts six months and is divided into two parts: six-weeks of classroom study and 20 weeks of on-the-job internship. The classroom portion covers the following topics:

• Week 1: Critical Path Method - Concepts, Terminology, Mechanics, Mathematics
• Week 2: Construction - Concepts,Terminology, Processes, Means and Methods, Project Types/Nuances
• Week 3: Scheduling - Concepts, Terminology, Ideology, Practices, Techniques, Strategies
• Week 4: Contracts - Concepts, Terminology, Language, Changes, Claims
• Week 5: Project Management - Concepts, Terminology, Methods, Components
• Week 6: Integration - Communication, Collaboration, Project Dynamics, Goal Setting/Achievement
